Public Relations Associate Account Manager (hybrid)
Thomas/Boyd Communications (TBC) is a long-established public relations and marketing agency that creates strategic, exciting and effective communications campaigns that elicit response, problem-solve, drive growth and recognition on behalf of its business, government and nonprofit clients.
We seek a highly motivated, self-starter, team player for the role of Associate Account Manager. Strong writing skills, a keen eye for details and the ability to plan ahead while managing multiple accounts are a must. Experience in digital communications and content development across all channels and an astute understanding of the evolving media landscape are needed to succeed in the position. Qualifications and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field
- Previous public relations experience is required. This is not an entry-level job.
- Track record in developing and implementing strategic PR/communications campaigns that achieve measurable results and the ability to analyze results/outcomes to inform recommendations
- Exceptional writing skills and experience in creating compelling messages intended to move audiences to take action and the ability to craft concise, engaging content across digital platforms
- Demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with the media, drafting documents, identifying potential media opportunities/ideas, pitching and placing stories
- Project management experience and the ability to prioritize client needs while driving progress. Track results, meet deadlines and see assignments through to completion.
- Social media/digital experience in creating original content. Understanding of Canva to create graphics.
- Comfortable taking initiative and assisting with the development of junior staff
- Proficiency in the use of content management systems, social media platforms and
e-newsletter and PowerPoint creation - Basic understanding of video, paid digital marketing initiatives and website creation and management

Qualifications and Responsibilities of a TBC Intern
- College student majoring in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
- Able to travel to our office in Moorestown, NJ
- Junior or Senior preferred
Responsibilities Include:
- Compiling specialized media lists/reports (media database software training will be provided)
- Assisting with writing news releases, calendar listings, media alerts, etc.
- Conducting internet research for clients
- Participating in strategic brainstorming sessions and internal meetings for clients
- Assisting with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms
